Infinisource Opens Technology Center
Infinisource, Inc. has been busy moving forward with its one-million-dollar renovation project that incorporated a Technology Center and additional parking accommodations.
The Roosevelt Building, which is the current corporate headquarters for Infinisource, was originally built in 1923 and it housed Coldwater High School. Prior to being restored, it was the location for Franklin Adult Education classes and Kellogg Community College. The building was slated for demolition but, when Infinisource expressed an interest, it was renovated. The renovation took eight months to complete. Most of the windows were broken so the building housed hawks, pigeons and raccoons.
Infinisource, Inc., formerly COBRA Compliance Systems, Inc., first occupied a suite in the center of the building on the 1 st and 2 nd floor. That move took place in October, 1994. Since then the company has been steadily moving other tenants out and occupying the space.
Last fall renovation began to the last part of the facility, the former gymnasium. A second floor was added that will potentially provide up to 50 new workstations, a conference room, and additional restroom facilities. The first floor will seat 35 employees; provide a state of the art data center, a new mailroom, and additional restroom facilities.
The project provides the opportunity for Infinisource to continue to operate during times without power, meet new HIPAA privacy requirements and upgrade our current operating
systems to a state of the art facility. Securityfeatures include biometrics, which require fingerprint identification in addition to camera surveillance. The technology center will allow for a testing environment for new VOIP telephony technology. |
